About Panchavadyam
Panchavadyam is basically an art of sound from Kerala.
It is an orchestra of five instruments as an temple art.
Of the five instruments, four timila, maddalam, ilathalam and idakka belong to the percussion category and the fifth one, kombu,is a wind instrument commonly used in Chena Melam.
